The Sherman M4 Tank saw service in the invasions of North Africa and Europe in WWII.

This page is dedicated to the Army and National Guard forces supplied by Texas in the defense of the Republic and our Nation.  This includes the period of the War Between the States, which some call the Civil War.

The museums listed here contain tanks and other armor, cannons (artillery) and other weapons (guns), tactical guided and unguided missiles, and army aviation relics such as helicopters and airplanes.

Let us not forget that military forces consist PRIMARILY of the soldiers, plus their equipment.  All museums give due recognition to the soldiers who have given a portion or more of their lives in the protection of our freedoms.
